Location

Coming soon in Summer 2025, we are excited to be expanding into Buckinghamshire with the opening of a brand-new nursery in Chalfont St Peter. Currently under construction, Ladybird Chalfont will be ideally located in the heart of Chalfont St Peter, within very short walking distance from the high street and the A40.

Nursery details

Previously an office space, this building is being totally renovated to create a purpose built, state-of-the-art nursery across two floors, offering an inspiring early years environment. The setting will accommodate up to 70 children daily between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. The pre-school group (3 - 5 years) will be based on the ground floor in one large open plan room, whilst the baby (3 months – 2 years) and toddler (2 - 3 years) groups will be based on the first floor in two separate rooms. Each room will be warm, bright and homely. Purposefully designed for each development stage, all of our childcare rooms will be fully furnished with the highest quality furniture, with a large array of items from Community Playthings. The nursery will be fully air conditioned and installed with comprehensive security systems. For added safety, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) will be installed within the nursery.

An oasis of calm, a bespoke sensory room has been designed for Ladybird Chalfont. The room will be filled with light, colour, texture and sound, allowing children to develop and engage their senses.

The nursery will have two secure outdoor play areas to the front of the building. The first has been designed for pre-schoolers and toddlers, offering endless opportunities for our older children to engage in physical activity and imaginative play. The second will be a dedicated baby garden for our youngest children to explore in at their own pace. Due to the covered areas in both outdoor areas, your child will enjoy daily outdoor learning and play come rain or shine.

Throughout our nurseries, we aim to work in partnership with parents and value them as their child’s first and most important educators. That is why Ladybird Chalfont will offer a dedicated space for parents in our reception to sit, have a coffee and chat with staff about their child’s learning and development. There will be parking available for drop-off and pick-up times, as well as a secure buggy store.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have been using this nursery for both our children for over 4 years. Nothing but praise and gratitude for all of the staff at Ladybird. My children have developed and thrived so much in this environment and we all formed such lovely bonds with the staff.

We are really appreciative of the support, learning and care that the staff have given my son during his time at Ladybird Thornsett. He has grown so much in confidence since moving to the nursery and he has said that he will really miss going there.

My daughter loved going to Ladybird Nursery. The staff took such good care of her. She developed incredibly after starting nursery, her language is clear and at 18 months she is saying over 50 words. The menu is well balanced and she also now eats a wider range of food thanks to what she was introduced to at nursery.

Meet Our Manager

Claire

With over 23 years of experience in Early Years, I have worked my way up from a Nursery Assistant to a Nursery Manager, a role I have held for 13 years. In this position, I have also served as a SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. I have completed a Level 3 Childcare Qualification, a Level 3 Management qualification, and a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification. I have experience with a wide range of children with SEND and am dedicated to ensuring we offer an inclusive setting for all. I have always had a passion for Early Years and still get excited watching the children grow and develop in a positive and enriched environment. I believe that building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and staff is the key to an excellent setting where everyone feels welcome and valued.
